Opossum Removal & Control in Indiana

Virginia opossums are North America's only marsupial and are common throughout Indiana. While largely beneficial — they consume ticks, mice, and other pests — opossums become a nuisance when they enter attics, crawl spaces, garages, and sheds or raid garbage cans and pet food. They are slow-moving and non-aggressive but can carry fleas, ticks, and mites. Opossums do not carry rabies (their body temperature is too low for the virus to survive). They are opportunistic den-seekers that take advantage of any accessible sheltered space. Licensed operators can trap and remove opossums and help identify and seal access points to prevent future entry.
